And some more honeys

Amy Mizzi
plays
Kit Hunter.

Amy Mizzi joins Home and Away as Kit Hunter, the troubled teenage sister of Scott.

Nineteen-year-old Amy was born in the Central Coast region of New South Wales, and had to move to Sydney to join the cast of Home and Away. She finished school two years ago, and was doing a full-time performing arts course until last year at MacDonald College, focusing on acting, singing and dancing.

Amy's true passion is dancing - she's been a dancer since the age of two, and was actually teaching for five years. Her greatest ambition is to move into musical theatre, but she's happy to be diverted by acting for the moment.

Of her role, Amy says 'it is such a great opportunity and I was so shocked when I heard I got the part. I am having to learn everything as I go and the cast and crew are helping me with that.'

Amy plays Kit Hunter, a tough but troubled teen with a slippery grasp on her alcohol problem.

'She is a bit lost and hasn't accepted her father's death and hasn't gone through her stages of grieving,' Amy says of Kit. 'She tries but has a long way to go yet. There is a spark about her and she is quite a cool girl, under all that bravado.'

Amy's definitely a fan of Home & Away - she's been watching the show since the Shane and Angel days.

Amy's tastes tend to the old-school - her favourite music includes Led Zeppelin and a lot of heavy rock, and her favourite performer is Gene Kelly, the original song and dance man!

Isabel Lucas
plays
Tasha Andrews.

Born January 29, 1985 in Melbourne, 18 year old Isabel Lucas plays mystery girl Tasha Andrews, or 'Jane Doe' in Home & Away.

Isabel and her family moved from Melbourne to live in Switzerland for a year (her mother is Swiss and she can speak Swiss) when she was 6 years old. Her family moved back to Melbourne and soon after moved up to North Queensland. For three years she attended Kakadu National Park School, in a country town of only 1,000 people. She attended the school for three years which was made up of aboriginal and white children- she described herself as a 'wild bush child'.

They moved to Cairns when she was 10 years of age, where she has lived until now. Isabel has had to make the move from North Queensland to Sydney where she takes up her regular role on Home and Away. Isabel is still in Year 12 but has deferred her studies and is doing the HSC over 2 years.

Isabel was involved in drama throughout school (courses through Victorian College of Arts and Queensland University of Technology) but it wasn't until she was discovered that she went to auditions for roles. Isabel was 'found' by agent Sharron Meissner when she was holidaying up in Cairns and who signed her up straight away when they met in 2002. Sharron put her up for the role on Home and Away when Isabel was holidaying with her family in Melbourne over Christmas 2002.

Isabel first auditioned for the role of Kit Hunter (now played by Amy Mizzi), but Home and Away producer Julie McGauran didn't feel it was the right role for her. At the same time Julie realised she couldn't let her go. The role of 'Jane Doe' was devised especially for Isabel.

Isabel found out she got the role when her mum received a call whilst picking Isabel and her friend up from school and they had to pull over to the side of the road.

'We found out when Home and Away rang mum on her mobile when she was driving. Mum pulled over and I then got on the phone. I was so excited and we had a big family dinner that night to celebrate,' she says.

'I had been to a couple of auditions and never got through so I thought I will give it a go and my best shot not ever thinking I would get it. It is such a great challenge for me, so I just want to stay open minded and learn as much as I can. I think I am very lucky,' she says.

Isabel joins the show in a mysterious way when Max (Sebastian Elmaloglou) finds her on the rocks and the beach and thinks she is a mermaid.

'I think she is quite alternative and different and such a mystery and it will be great to have more revealed as time goes by,' she says.

Back at home, Isabel rides horses and has done so for the last 10 years - she has competed in dressage and show jumping. She just loves animals!

She lives on acreage in Cairns with her family and loads of animals including, birds, guinea pigs, horses, dog and a cat.

She lists some of her favourite recording artists being Jack Johnson, Norah Jones and Ben Harper and her favourite actresses being Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz.

Indiana Evans
plays
Matilda Hunter

Indiana Evans, born 27th July, 1990, joins Home & Away as Matilda Hunter - a little girl who will stir up trouble along with her twin brother in Summer Bay.

Indiana has had an interest in performing since the age of 5, when she would perform for family and friends. At age 7, Indiana's parents enrolled her into dance lessons which started with Ballet and then evolved to Jazz and Tap.

She landed her first TV commercial at age 11 - she played the lead role in an Asguard commercial. At this time Indiana had taken up drum lessons and bought her own drum kit with her first earnings from the commercial.

From there she won a guest role (as Milly Roberts) on All Saints. She was then cast for the principal role in an American Campaign for 'Kool Aid', which required an American accent. Indiana also appeared in Comedy Inc.

More recently Indiana landed the role of Abbie Oakley in the television series Snobs. At this time she had just started her first year in high school but could only attend for 2 weeks as she would be shooting for most of that year. The role of Abbie also required Indiana to learn horse riding and surfing.

In the last couple of weeks on set with Snobs she was asked to audition for the role of Matilda Hunter on Home and Away.

"Matilda may be seen as bratty but her nature isn't necessarily mean, she is just upset about coming to Summer Bay and the fact that her mother has found another man to share her life with," says Indiana. "It has only been a year since her dad died and she is angry and I suppose she is taking it out on everyone."

When her agent broke the news over the phone that she won the role of Matilda Indiana was in shock. At first she didn't say a word and then had to call back after she'd run around her home screaming.

"I have watched Home and Away so joining the cast was weird because I had been watching them. The show is so fast paced and was overwhelming but at the same time is quite laid back," she says.

Apart from singing, dancing and acting Indiana enjoys drawing, catching up with friends and shopping.

Her favorite singers are Beyonce and Delta Goodrem and her favourite actors range from Cameron Diaz to Cate Blanchett.
